Hmmm...not sure what to make of it

I'm of the dissenting opinion regarding the new redesign. From an interface design/money saving perspective, its not frugal in its use of space. That means more clicking and scrolling to get to the same material. It seems watered down as a result.

I will try to work with it...in the name of progress, etc, but in my opinion it doesnt provide as much impact for the amount of effort required on my part. I also feel like the sense of community that one feels is much looser; it more challenging to find the regulars and differentiate(sp?) them from the voices that are just joining.

    We're still in the building process. Part of launching the new look now rather than when we are completely finished is that we can incorporate what you all want rather than what we think you want.

    One place that we received a lot of comments before the redesign was the difficulty in finding entries on specific topics and that is why we have introduced the categories. by creating category names and tagging each of your posts you can make it much easier for people visiting your blog find information they are interested in.

    We realize that the current layout isn't friendly in finding your favorite blogs at this time. We're discussing the best way to approach this and hopefully we can create a way where you can mark your favorites so they stand out and are easy to find. Thank you for you patience.

    I understand now what you are trying to do. As a web designer I know that you can please some of the people some of the time and end users are able to provide better feed back when they have a concrete model in front of them - finished or not. I love the opportunity you provide with this site. Keep up the great work. I will try to acclimate to the new look. I'm just having a hard time getting around and that feels disorienting.

    way to go Jeffrey.. i like changes.. the blogs look much nicer and neater
    now.. i think it is more user friendly.
    i have reinforced so much more
    of what i thought already, with what you have been advising. i know now
    that i have always been on the right track when it comes to using money
    as a tool and controling it.
    i would like to learn more how the members save daily at the grocery
    stores, discount and dept. stores, etc. i hope they post more info.
    the bank deals, rebates, freebies,
    and coupons are a great help on our budget.. enjoy learning how the
    rest of the world handles their finances...
    please keep up the great work.
